Pre-OwnedBlackbird Guitars Savoy With MiSi Electronics #21
Note that Blackbird is not currently in business, and there is no indication that they will re open, so there will be very few chances to acquire one of these amazing travel guitars. Savoy is the culmination of Blackbird's focus on making compact instruments with big voices and with its lush vintage tone, this acoustic is without equal for its size. The small body 'O' size acoustic is crafted of 'lighter-than-spruce Ekoa® linen fiber composite. The one-piece body is lightweight, durable, and weather stable, so you can take your Savoy anywhere. With a full size voice, playability and scale length, it still fits in the included ¾ soft case. As a 12-fret guitar, Savoy is both compact and places the bridge in the ‘sweet spot’ of the lower bout but also offers you full fretboard access via the unique Blackbird ‘dual’ cutaway— the back is sculpted away for access to the highest frets. Finally Savoy features Blackbird's proprietary hollow neck and head sound chamber. Learn More$0.00Out of stock

Pre-OwnedVintage Bryant Trenier Brodway 17" Archtop #1057
Trenier Broway 17" Archtop From the builder: Once the design of the 16” guitar was worked out by the Gibson company in the late 1920‘s and expanded on by John D’Angelico shortly thereafter, a tone was achieved. It was a tone that was full, balanced, and powerful. This is a design worth exploring by any contemporary maker of guitars - parallel bracing, narrow f-holes closely spaced, eastern maple and adirondack spruce make for a shouty, robust tone, as fit for 4-to-the-bar comping as for Carl Kress-style chord melody. To my ear, the perfect blend of power and beauty. Learn More -

SoldGurian 3H-S3R With K&K Mini Pickup
This is a 1980 Gurian 3H-S3R. Gurian Guitars was a manufacturer of high quality acoustic guitars based in New York City, then Hinsdale, New Hampshire and finally West Swanzey, New Hampshire, from the 1960s to 1981. The guitars were designed by luthier Michael Gurian who also supervised production. The company was one of the earliest "boutique" guitar brands in the United States, offering an alternative product to those of the larger, factory-based makers of the day, with instruments characterized by a distinctive shape, features and sound. The S3R is a mid-sized instrument with plenty of power, brilliance and sustain. This size is quite versatile, an excellent choice for solo or accompaniment. The Size 3 model has become a favorite for recording work thanks to it's balanced tone. The 3H was a higher grade version of the standard S3R featuring 3-piece back, herringbone inlay on the top, back and sides gold plated Schaller tuners. SoldSanta Cruz H13 2017 #627
2017 Santa Cruz H13. What’s up with thirteen frets? The historical precedent for this classic shape was the Gibson ‘Nick Lucas Special’ from the 1920’s and ’30’s, the one Bob Dylan holds in early photos. The “H” designation is an acknowledgment to the guardian of the lore of all things vintage and stringed, Maestro Paul Hostetter, who commissioned SCGC to build the prototype in 1978. In spite of the question of whether the historic 13 frets to the body had any basis in acoustic science, our reason for using it does. SCGC’s concept for the H-13 is to achieve power beyond what would be expected in a small-bodied guitar. Two fundamental lutherie tricks make this possible: a longer string length (more downward pressure at the saddle) and more air space via a deeper body (increased volume and bass response). To place the bridge in the optimal position for power and maintain the longer string length, the neck needs to join the body at the 13th fret. Cool, huh? This is a gorgeous classic with power and presence expected from a much larger instrument. Perfect for aggressive fingerstyle blues and vocal accompaniment, the H-13 feels really sweet to hold.
